Basically perfect
Felt pretty guilty spending this much on an espresso maker, honestly, but it's incredible. Love the total flexibility in control, from quite automated to entirely manual, with both the espresso and the milk foaming. I've used it 1-2x per day for double shots (3x a couple of days, that wasn't a great idea) for 4 weeks now and really enjoy the process and the results. Maybe not quite coffee shop, but that's probably more on me than the machine.

Love
I’m in love with this machine! I was torn between this one and the oracle that is more than twice the price. I decided to give this one a chance and I’m so glad I did. It makes perfect lattes. My kids are always asking for hot chocolates. It’s easy to use. The set up demo explained everything clearly. I didn’t need to read the directions. The only thing I would change about it is, there’s not enough space to brew directly into an average sized coffee mug. I either have to use a smaller glass and then transfer or take the bottom piece out to make enough room for my mug. Not a huge deal- the coffee is worth it. I haven’t been back to Starbucks once.

Delicious, customizable espresso drinks
This produces a delicious coffee drink. The espresso tastes like coffee house quality; I was very impressed with the taste/consistency for the price. Though not cheap, there are much higher priced options when it comes to a home espresso machine. This is easy to use and customize after a little trial and error to find the perfect coffee amount and grind size.....this changes depending on the particular espresso beans used. The coffee is hot and the milk temperature is adjustable. I am very happy with this purchase, well worth the money.

Barista Quality Coffee at Home
It is well made and makes fantastic coffee. Looks exactly as advertised. It can be a little complicated at first to figure out especially opening the water tank, but once you get the hang of all it can do it doesn’t take long to make a great coffee or espresso. The only downside is that a normal/larger sized coffee cup doesn’t fit easily under so you need to put the espresso in a small cup or espresso cup and then pour into a larger cup for a latte or cappuccino.

High quality machine
I have owned my Barista Touch for almost a month now. If you think that your going to make great espresso right out of the box you my find yourself a little bit frustrated at first as I did. While this machine makes it possible to make high quality drinks at home there is a definite learning curve that must be endured. You will waste a bag or two of coffee in the process of learning how to adjust the grind, dose and extraction time for the beans you select. I recommend going to store that sells and demonstrates these machines to get some expert advice on settings, extraction and which beans will help get the best from your machine. Having said all that I am really loving this machine! I am now getting consistent shots with great taste and the milk frother makes it really easy to make great tasting drinks at home. Even my daughter, who used to be a barista was impressed. I’m even beginning to branch out and experiment with new recipes and drinks. I highly recommend the Barista Touch.

Love it!
We love our Breville, so easy to use and the fact that is touch and you can choose the coffee you want it's completely a plus, it's harder to us finding a good coffee when we go out, we rather wait and make our coffee at home, We've had this coffee maker for 4 months now, and so far it is the best, we use it daily, it tells you when to change the water filter, when to clean , everything. Would buy it again

Great machine! Makes delicious espresso.
I've been using this machine for about 2 months. I LOVE it. Finally I can make consistently delicious high quality espresso drinks. Breville has made it about as easy as it can be. Once you get the grind dialed in right and the dosage, it's very easy to tamp and draw a fantastic tasting espresso. Love the LCD screen and the simplicity of use. The machine looks beautiful from all sides too. I upgraded from a $600 Saeco fully automatic machine that I've been using about 5 years. It's worked really well but has very little control over the settings. It makes a decent espresso, but the Breville definitely takes it up a notch. The coffee is much smoother and fuller bodied. One of the main reasons I chose this more expensive model rather than the Barista Express, is the auto milk frother. I've never liked doing manual milk frothing. It's such a pain. This does it all for you. Amazing quality too. Overall I'm extremely happy with this machine so far. I hope it holds up as long as my Saeco has, especially considering the price I paid for the Breville.

Delicious espresso and easy to use
I bought this machine after doing some research and watching some videos. The reviews are mixed. After having this for 1 1/2 months with daily use, I couldn't be happier. It was a lot of money for a machine considering I'm the only one in my house using it but it is so great waking up to a latte that it is worth it! I went from being intimidated and thinking I couldn't figure out how to use an espresso machine to making drinks that taste as good as a coffee shop. Having the touch screen makes making drinks in the morning so easy. I'm the kind of person who wants a cup of coffee first thing and in about 3 minutes I have it. Clean up is easy. Buy some Amazon basics washcloths and have one to wipe the frothing wand after frothing and to wipe the area where the portafilter drips coffee. Also buy a knockbox which is what you will dump the wet mound of coffee in (called a puck because ideally it will look like a puck, coming out in one piece). I was able to buy some replacement water filters a few weeks ago but I see they are unavailable on the Breville website right now. Breville should do a better job keeping these in stock. I can't speak for longevity but there have been no issues whatsoever. For me this has been a great buy.

Great machine
It’s great machine and in the right hands can be pretty powerful. We got this as more of a family coffee machine so it gets used quite regularly and we haven’t run into any problems. Makes great coffee!!!

I love the purge on the milk wand because who wants ...
We did tons of research on different models and decided on this one. We've had it for about two months and used it daily to make mochas, lattes, americanos and hot chocolate (for the kids). We haven't had any problems with it and my one concern is that it wasn't a double boiler meaning you can pull shots and steam milk at the same time. This is a non-issue since I don't have 4 arms and am likely operating this machine before I've had any caffeine so even I could do both things at the same time, it's not likely. I love the purge on the milk wand because who wants smelly milk stuck up there and it's easy to empty the tray. My only wish is that the water reservoir were accessibly from the front of the machine. Our machine sits under a cabinet and we have to scoot it out every time to access the water reservoir in the rear. Other than, that....totally in love and we are saving over $300 per month on making coffee at home and not going to Starbucks.
