Cá hú cắt nhỏ rửa thật sạch rồi để riêng. Hành tây thái nhỏ. Đun nóng nồi, cho dầu ăn vào đun nóng rồi thả gừng băm, ớt bột, tỏi băm, lá nguyệt quế, ớt trái vào xào thơm trong khoảng 1 phút.
Bỏ hành tây băm, cần tây băm, tiêu, hành lá băm, hạt nêm vào, xào thêm khoảng 1 phút nữa. Rót nước vào đun sôi trong khoảng 10 phút.
Cho cá vào, tiếp tục đun thêm khoảng 10 phút nữa. Nêm nếm và điều chỉnh gia vị nếu cần thiết. Tắt lửa rồi vớt bỏ lá nguyệt quế ra ngoài.
Múc canh ra bát rồi thưởng thức nhé. Bên ngoài trời thật lạnh, hãy cùng cả nhà quây quần bên bữa tối nóng hổi với bát canh cá nấu cay lạ miệng mà rất dễ ăn này nhé!
